Kroger company is a large grocery company that provides fresh produce the South West, East and Central locations of the United States.
The Project
They needed a way to track their fresh produce on a daily, weekly basis to ensure freshness. This goal was called the Fresh Initiative and involved various stakeholders, internal users and the product team. Our goal was to build an application that provided on time data for our internal users that tracked freshness at a warehouse, delivery and vendor level to ensure the business was making efficient business decisions on Freshness.
The Process
The team built a MVP alpha application that needed some work. We initially conducted a heuristic evaluation on design principles and then worked with product team on design, framework design and research roadmap.
Design + Research
Once the framework was designed and deployed we started working inward. We initially scheduled interviews with the various user groups to understand their needs and pain points.
Based on discussions, we were able to create a seamless experience presenting data metrics from the top down for each user groups needs.
Had the Ability to conduct Usability Tests for better design
The Problem (Before)
The initial Customer Days of Fresh Report was extremely busy and had way too much data on the screen and some that was replicated elsewhere.
The Solution
By being able to work with our users and conduct A/ B Testing we were able to resolve a better UX for users and help them make fast business decisions for their Fredh Initiative goals.
Increased Usability by 50%
Increased Business Revenue by over 55%
